Do DriRun Garments Smell when Worn? Understanding Odour Control
Blood and urine typically don’t have a strong odour. However, vaginal fluid and bacteria can sometimes create an odour, which is perfectly normal.
Our moisture-wicking gusset layer locks away odour and only releases it when you wash your DriRun garments. We don’t use silver or anti-odour coatings.
What causes a musty smell, and how can I prevent it?
If you leave your DriRun soaking for too long or store them before they’re completely dry, you might notice a musty smell. To remove any unwanted odours, follow these simple steps:
Vinegar Rinse: Mix white vinegar with water in a 1:3 ratio, just enough to cover your underwear. Rinse your garment thoroughly.
Short Soak: Let your underwear soak in this solution for no more than 20 minutes to avoid any potential damage.
Washing Machine: Toss them in the washing machine with a bit more vinegar (1:5 ratio) for an extra boost.
Sun-Dry: Hang your underwear in the sunlight until they’re completely dry before storing them.

How do I use and care for DriRun?
Good news our garments can go in the tumble drier!
If they are still heavy, they’re still wet.
We strongly recommend following our care instructions to ensure you get the most wear out of your protection.
How long will my DriRun garments last?
The lifespan of your DriRun products is largely dependent on the wash and care of the garments.
We guarantee they will retain the absorbency performance for a minimum of 90 washes.
If you have purchased an item and believe it to be faulty, Please contact our founder directly with the following information:
- Your order number
- A photograph of the affected garment/s (please ensure that all affected garments are included in one photo)
- The size and style of the faulty underwear

I’ve used the Tumble Dryer, will DriRun still work?
No drama! Tumble dry is a great way to dry your DriRun protection.
We have independently tested tumble drying, and the absorbency performance is retained wash after wash.
What is the difference between period and bladder leaks?
Speed – Bladder fluids flow as fast as your tap runs, so at this rate, it only takes 2-3 seconds to match the loss of an entire period.
Viscosity – Water always wants to find the lowest level and can leak through a pinhole. Menstrual flow is thicker, slower and blood will coagulate and eventually dry.
Volume – Our bladder holds 500ml (a pint) and we usually feel the need to wee when our bladder has 150-250 ml of urine in it. This is 25 times more liquid than an entire period day.
Position – We cannot hold in our period because wee and period blood do not exit the body from the same place – urine exits from the urethra, which is further forward.
Why do my period pants overflow?

Why do my disposable pads chafe?
Heat, sweat, friction and urine make things uncomfortable. The salt in our sweat gets trapped between the plastic pad and our skin and when we move, the friction can literally rub a hole in your delicate vulva skin and it blooming hurts! Some women use anti-chafe balm.
According to Dr Gomes, a consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, disposable pads often “are made from compounds called polyolefins and may also contain absorbent gels, wood cellulose, and absorbent foam….All these materials have the potential to irritate the skin. When pads come in contact with menstrual blood, they release dioxin and methane gas, making women vulnerable to rashes and infections.”
It’s possible to be allergic to any of the materials used in disposable pads which can lead to a rash. Fragranced pads and even the adhesive strips used can also cause an allergic reaction and rashes.
How does DriRun compare to what you're wearing now?
DriRun absorbs the same as Tena Discreet.

Are reusable incontinence pads as absorbent as disposable ones?
Reusable protection usually offers much lower absorbency than disposable incontinence products, until now; DriRun matches the absorbency of a Tena Discreet and Always Discreet.

How do I apply a discount/coupon code?

Do you ship to my country?
We dispatch from the UK and deliver to the UK.

When Will I Receive My DriRun Order? Delivery Times and Tracking Info

When will I receive updates on my order status?
After placing your order, you’ll receive an email confirmation once it’s processed. We’ll also send you a shipping notification email with tracking information as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. How can I track my order?

How much money can I save by switching to reusable pads?
Every time you wear DriRun, you will save 10p, any potential harm to your health and keep a disposable pad and wrapper out of landfill.
How many reusable pads do I need for daily use?
There is no time limit, as our protection is toxin-free and feather-soft next to your skin. When it starts to feel heavy and wet, swap it for a clean one.
How much waste can I reduce by switching to reusable pads?
For every DriRun sold, 90 disposable pads and wrappers can be kept from landfill, our oceans and beaches.
What is the environmental impact of disposable pads?
An estimated three billion products are thrown away annually, accounting for 2-3% of household waste, with each pad taking up to 500 years to break down and potentially releasing methane and pathogens into the environment.
